Some of my recent pondering and life lessons...
Enjoying life right now...it's one of those quotes you read on a cute little picture over the internet. Words that makes you think it is something easy to say, and should be so simple and easy to do.
Sure it is easy to enjoy life when you have great friends, your healthy, you have a great job, you have money in the bank, you come from a great family that gathers frequently for large meals and agrees on everything, your hair isn't frizzy, and the sun is shining, and everything you bake off the pictures on pinterest turns out perfect. Oh yes those are the days when you have a skip in your step, and you feel light as a feather.
But what about the days when your family is mad at you, you only have a few dollars in the bank, you just got laid off, you don't have any friends, and you or someone you love is struggling with their health, your car just broke down, and the cake you just pulled out of the oven has just sunk... Then at that moment are you still enjoying life right now?
Life is a journey, a process of advancement and progression. And as you move toward the future, you must be careful not to lose sight of the now and the enjoyment it can bring to you ~Joyce Meyers
Life is definitely a journey indeed, I think though sometimes it doesn't always feel like an advancement but more often it can feel like a falling backwards or climbing up and down. But it isn't always about how we feel. Sometimes our feelings can trick us. Even if life feels like we are falling off the side of it. The reality is we are still moving forward. And if I can be really honest with you for a moment it is not always an easy thing to enjoy life smack dab where your at. I have had to eat these words many times recently. It has not been easy having my husband unemployed. And I have had many days where I was just not enjoying where I am at.
But here is that truth again, life is still there moving forward and it is no matter how you feel about,or how your life looks, or even how it feels sometimes. The reason it moves forward and we don't fall off the side is because God is hanging on to us. Even if some days it feels like we are only hanging on by a thread. This I know, God has given me and abundant and full life, and everyday I can enjoy life right now if I want to. And you know what so can you!! We just have to make it our priority and goal to enjoy life right now!!
Expect good things every day!! Get up every day and say "Something good is going to happen to me today." ~Joyce Meyers
Every good and perfect gift comes from above.
I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)
Wishing you and abundant week with joy that overflows!! and I hope that everything you bake from pinterest turns out!
